    I don't know if you have an religious inclinations, but many local churches offer really great youth programs. She'd be able to meet other teens from all over the county! Church youth groups tend to be very welcoming to new people; much more so than junior high classrooms.

    I moved to a little town in Michigan from Japan when I was 12. It took forever to adjust! That is a challenging age no matter what. My best to you and your daughter on this new journey.

    I would recommend finding out which school she'll be going to. if you know this, then you will be able to search Facebook/MySpace for other kids at that school.

    I don't know of any specific "monitored" chat space that's specific to teens in Frederick.
