    • I must agree with the above completely. I have been to the center several times with my children during times when the center was not busy and a different manager was on duty. My children (both...

    • I have to say, I was sorely disappointed with Universal Kids. I went there for a birthday party and was really excited to try this place out. Not only was the employee in charge rude to quite a few...

  • Just found this Forum while trying to find a place for 30-40 to have a luncheon on a Monday south of town. Too bad Monocacy Crossing is closed on Mondays!
I have been to the same places you mentioned with largish groups.
First, you might try Home at Braddock Inn. They have a large room downstairs for groups. Call Greg at 301-371-0411.
Have you tried the Cozy in Thurmont? They have lots of small rooms that may be joined together for a large group. May not be as nice as you would like, although my groups love it for lunch!
I have also had simple buffets catered by local folks at places like Ruritan and Amvet Halls. Not much ambiance but the price was great! I even had a buffet luncheon at Homewood at Crumland Farms for 100 in their big room. Depends on the atmosphere your group wants. Good Luck!
  • I'll second the recommendation for Home at the Braddock Inn. It's a nice place (needs a good vegetarian option on the menu, though) with a great atmosphere. The prices are probably on par with the other places, so if you need a cheaper option this is not likely it.
