Proof Reopening

  • I believe it will be under new ownership so hopefully things won't change too much.
  • Good. I still have about $20 left on my gift card!
  • Not too smart for the new owners to paper the windows, throw up a CLOSED sign, then wait a full week to post a second "re-opening soon" sign. Word of mouth has already spread that the place is closed, with most likely assuming it went belly-up. How many will take the time to see the re-opening sign?
  • Proof Bakery reopened today (5/29). Still owned by Mike Tauraso, the bakery has been remodeled to accommodate more seating. They still serve the same delicious coffee! Changes are a smaller baked-goods selection, a new breakfast menu, and expanded sandwich (lunch) menu.
  • As part of the growing population who is intolerant to wheat, I with that some of these places would offer some wheat-free goodies. There are plenty of yummy options for rice-based foods, etc. They do have good coffee, though.
